AT Home Care was incorporated in 1994 as Advanced Technologies in Home Care, Inc. We began seeing patients on January 18, 1995 and later became known as AT Home Care.

Ed Kassab, President/CEO founded AT Home Care with his brother Curt. Kassab received his Masters degree at Penn State University in Vocational Rehabilitation and spent many years as a Nursing Home Administrator in North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania. He moved to Richmond to work as an Administrator with Beverly Enterprises, the largest nursing home corporation in America.

With ambition to run his own business and meet the growing medical needs of homebound patients, Kassab created AT Home Care with just 2 visiting nurses in January of 1995. Kassab opened the first AT Home Care office in Ashland to contain costs. As the agency won accolades for its quality care and personalized service, it was able to expand its clinician base and establish headquarters in Richmond.

The family run business brought the Kassabs’ passion for providing exceptional, individualized care to patients by employing dedicated and highly skilled clinicians. As AT Home Care’s reputation grew, so did its geographic coverage. The Richmond branch expanded to include coverage in Hampton Roads and Tri Cities in 1998. Currently, AT Home Care has branches in Williamsburg, Richmond, Tri-Cities, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville and Virginia Beach.

Over the last 13 years, AT Home Care has broadened its services to encompass a state of the art Physical Therapy practice using the latest Orthopedic technology which includes joint replacement and amputee care. Other services include: Skilled Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Medical Social Work and Home Health Aides to assist in the essential activities of daily life. We pride ourselves on being a one stop shop that is able to arrange delivery of in home medical supplies as well as dietary and social work assistance through our extensive network of care. AT Home Care’s personalized care has become a benchmark for other home care agencies to emulate. It has won awards for its outcomes from Medicare and Home Health Line and has been recognized across the country.

AT Home Care feels strongly about giving back to those less fortunate, and that quality health care should be available to all. We support medical efforts abroad through our affiliations with Physicians for Peace. Each of our therapists is encouraged to take time off, beyond their vacation time, to participate in medical mission work in one of PFP’s Walking Free programs in developing countries. An extension of this program is the annual Limb Drive, co-sponsored by AT Home Care, in Richmond each spring. This event collects new and used prosthetics for needy patients participating in the Walking Free Program.
